Marina Hustle II

In this aerial shot of Lagos, the old business district of Marina comes alive with a dynamic blend of movement and structure. The yellow Danfo buses, iconic symbols of Lagos’ vibrant public transport system, are clustered like bees in a hive, waiting to ferry passengers across the bustling city. Above them, the skeletal frame of an overhead train track hints at the evolving infrastructure, while the Eko Bridge stretches gracefully across the scene, carrying vehicles on a journey to their destinations.

I had serious doubts about whether I would be able to capture this shot. Gaining access to a very tall building, far away from this view, seemed like an obstacle too great to overcome. But persistence paid off, and from this vantage point, the chaos and order of Lagos came into sharp focus. The layered essence of the city reveals itself, from the bold yellow of the Danfo buses to the muted greys of the roads and bridges, all telling a story of constant motion and resilience in Nigeria’s commercial heartbeat.
