Blurred Lines

It’s remarkable how something so striking can arise from a moment of pure experimentation. I was merely playing around with a photography app on my phone, not expecting much, just testing features and seeing what they could do. In fact, I was so unconcerned with this shot that I nearly dismissed it altogether, almost overlooking it for the T-Lodge gallery.

The subject? Merely the light fixtures on the wall in my parents’ home. Yet somehow, through a blend of movement, timing, and sheer spontaneity, the image morphed into something unexpected. When I showed it to my family and friends, their reactions were fascinating, an example of how different perspectives breathe life into art. Some perceived sound waves resembling an audio frequency frozen in time. Others imagined it as DNA strands or data streams flowing through space. It made me realise that sometimes, the best art isn’t over thought—it’s discovered.
