Luminous Vortex I and II

Luminous Vortex captures the elegance and complexity of an object that most would overlook, a chandelier suspended in the stairwell of my home. Every day, I pass beneath it, yet it took one particular moment of stillness for me to see it not just as a light fixture, but as art. This image is another testament to how my perspective has shifted since embarking on my photography journey. I’ve learned to see beauty in the everyday, and sometimes all it takes is stopping, looking up, and seeing things differently.

On this day, as I stood directly beneath the chandelier, the sun poured through the window at just the right angle, casting soft shadows and illuminating the spirals of wood with a subtle glow. What astonishes me most is how this photograph, with its clarity and fluid lines, could easily be mistaken for a painting. This chandelier, something I see daily, has now been transformed into an artistic statement, all because I paused and framed it through my lens. Luminous Vortex is proof that art is everywhere if we only take the time to see it.
